The time has come for us to no longer offer public classes. After much consideration, we have made the decision to move to remote classes effective Monday March 16 through March 31, 2020.
We will continue to offer all of our classes at our regularly scheduled times, via our LIVESTREAM Link. Instructions here https://burningspiritsyoga.com/about-us-portland-yoga
In addition to the uncertainty of what lies before us, we know these are scary economic times for all of us. We also know that the consistent, steady practice of yoga in earnest is exactly the tool we need to combat that uncertainty.
We want to offer solutions that are mutually beneficial. We are excited to announce $5, 30-minute classes, such as Pranayama, Vinyasa, Bhakti Flow, Ashtanga, Yoga for Kids, Guided Meditation, Yoga Nidra, and more. Launches this week.
We will also continue to offer our regularly scheduled Yoga Punx classes by donation – no one turned away – as well as our Bhakti Strong classes.
We will continue to offer Mysore-style Ashtanga via our Zoom platform which allows a virtual classroom with the teacher being able to give you private 1:1 instruction from your home – so if you’re someone who has been curious about Ashtanga but nervous to come in, this is a great time to start!
At Yoga Punx PDX and it’s home studio, Burning Spirits Yoga, our dharma is to create programs where all people have easy access to the teachings of yoga.
To that end, we have been wanting to launch an online program for a while now. There are so many of us, for so many reasons, who aren’t able or aren’t comfortable taking a public yoga class. We believe there is power in increasing access to yoga, especially during such a challenging time. Yoga is ultimately a path towards the liberation to all people. Now more than ever, WE NEED THIS PRACTICE.
We hope you will continue to practice with the BSY and Yoga Punx PDX community and not cancel your membership – but we also understand these are trying and stressful financial times for all. So if funds are an issue, email us as we have various scholarships available.
Keep practicing. Our community – and the world – needs us.
Rise up warriors, rise up.
